Training

We have all done it.  At some point (or somewhat frequently) decide we need to get in shape and go join a gym.  Maybe you find a place with lots of equipment, TVs, nice showers, etc.  You probably went to the gym regularly at first but then started slacking, skipping a day, or finding an excuse not to go.  Next thing you know, you're paying for a gym membership you don't even use.

I've been there and done that.  I got the membership, went and hit the treadmills, did some Nautilus circuit stuff, blah, blah, blah.  In the end it never worked for me, I was never inspired, and I almost never saw any results worth getting excited over.  So went my life as I packed on the pounds.

Then I had a hospital stay that was a little too close for comfort and decided something needed to change.  I decided to try something completely different and joined a boot camp style gym.  Wow, what a difference! I will say that this is certainly not for everyone but it is right up my alley.  You can get a better idea of what i am referring to by watching the video here.

All I can say is that this stuff works and if you are like me (as I have discovered) and enjoy being pushed like this, then I say go for it!  If you live in Connecticut, I highly recommend Tyler's program.  There are many boot camp style placed out there so there should be options in your area as well. One thing I will caution about, this is not a Crossfit program which I really can't recommend.  Honestly, those programs are a bit shady and seeing things like this video should concern anyone who has even a minimal understanding of lifting weights.
